Trionic Sverige – Sport Rollators and Walking Aids
Trionic Walker™ is the world’s first sport rollator for the active user. As a walking aid it greatly increases the possibility to be physically active outdoors. Its unique climbing wheel and three-wheel design offers advantages on uneven surfaces and when overcoming different obstacles, for example a kerb.

The Trionic Walker helps increase the user’s access to any outdoor environment, be it a city, park, hiking trail, golf course, beach, or summer cabin. It opens up a whole new range of possible activities for people with physical disabilities, and also promotes physical health and increases quality of life.

CUSTOMISABLE ROLLATOR
With the Walker you can be active, and stay active; you can use it when Nordic walking poles simply do not offer enough support anymore on your daily exercise walk. With its textile seat and roomy basket, the Walker is also ideal for shopping. The Walker’s accessories like seats and baskets can be personalised, through different colours and patterns, according to the preferences and style of the user.

An independent ergonomic study and user testing have proven the Walker to be superior to a traditional rollator in all outdoor environments.

TRIONIC ROLLATOR CLIMBING WHEEL
The Trionic Climbing Wheel™ has two functions: obstacle climbing and suspension. Through the patented design, the Wheel can help Trionic rollators overcome obstacles up to 13cm high; a unique feature for rollators.

The maximum height a traditional wheel of the same diameter (31cm) can climb is 5cm, but that requires a significantly higher amount of pushing force. When climbing a 3.2cm-high kerb stone with the Climbing Wheel, only 10% of the pushing force is needed in comparison with a traditional rollator with the same-sized wheels.

The Wheel does not only work as a kerb climber, but also overcomes roots, rocks and other common outdoor obstacles. The suspension function, together with the three-wheel design, provides permanent ground-contact on uneven surfaces. On gravel, cobbles or grass the suspension turns the outing into pure delight.

ERGONOMIC STUDIES AND USER TESTING
The ergonomics firm ERAK performed a study that gave the conclusion that the Walker shows advantages in several aspects when compared to a traditional rollator, especially when used in the outdoors and when overcoming obstacles.

ERAK also performed a user test with ten participants. The test personnel, all of them rollator users, used the Trionic Walker for a period of three to five summer weeks. The trial period was followed by interviews and EMG tests.

In all of the outdoor environments tested, Trionic Walker got higher ratings than the test subjects’ traditional rollator. Apart from this, several other functions were appreciated by the users, such as the design, the brake system and the zippered basket compartment. Seven out of nine test persons would rather use the Trionic Walker than their current rollator.

ISO-STANDARD TESTED AND APPROVED

The Trionic Walker rollator is tested and approved according to standard ISO 11199-2:2005, “Walking aids manipulated by both arms – Requirements and test methods – Part 2: Rollators”.
