Sanix has been manufacturing and selling hospital equipment and medical apparatus since the mid-1920s. Mindful of changes in the healthcare industry, Sanix has specialised in the fields of rehabilitation and nursing.
Ten years ago, Sanix decided to concentrate its production on mobility apparatus and personal hygiene aids in respect of persons with permanent or temporary limited independence.
PATIENT LIFTERS
Sanix produces a range of lifters designed to facilitate the movement of patients to and from the bed, wheelchair or floor. Products in the lifter range include:
Rosa: a belt-fastening hoist system designed to move patients to or from the bed or wheelchair. It is friction-controlled preventing the rocking of the patient during transfer.
Cambix: a belt hoist for pad changing, daily transportation of disabled individuals from or to the bed, wheelchair or ground, designed for semi- or completely disabled users.
Fantix: a device for daily transportation of disabled individuals from or to the bed, wheelchair or ground, designed for semi- or completely disabled users. It is also used for hoisting – by means of special stretchers – individuals who cannot be moved from a horizontal position.
Lunix: a hoist stretcher for shifting and transferring patients from surface to surface, suitable for those users who are partially or totally immobile and those not self-supporting. The function of the hoist stretcher is to permit all daily operations to be conducted while the patient lies in total relaxation.
Ragnix: a lifter for the daily transportation of semi- or completely disabled individuals by means of girdles and interchangeable stretchers, thus avoiding the need to change fastening structures.
Solix: a belt hoist designed for users that are partially or totally immobile.
Letix: a stretcher hoist for daily transportation of disabled individuals from the bed to the bath for bathing, designed to allow the patient and operator to work together to perform all daily functions.
Aquix: a belt hoist lifting aid for transferring patients from a wheelchair into a swimming pool.
BATHING AND PERSONAL HYGIENE AIDS
Sanix’s range of mobility equipment contains a range of apparatus designed to help individuals with their bathing and personal hygiene needs:
Alzix: device for daily transportation of disabled individuals from the bed or wheelchair to the stall or bath for bathing, designed for semi- or completely disabled users.
Cabix: an appliance for the daily personal hygiene of individuals requiring bathing assistance. The stall option permits performance of all daily personal hygiene functions.
Marix: fibreglass-reinforced bath tub to aid with the daily personal hygiene of semi- or completely disabled individuals.
Docix: shower stretcher that permits the performance of all daily personal hygiene functions ensuring that the patient and assistant can work together in a comfortable, relaxed manner.
TERMIX / LAVIX BEDPAN WASHERS
Sanix’s bedpan washers are hospital appliances for the emptying and daily washing of bedpans and urinals.
Termix: a Class IIa medical device that provides optimum washing of bedpans and urinals with automatic bedpan tipping and emptying functions.
Lavix: a compact and easy-to-use Class IIa medical device, the Lavix bedpan washer features a sink in the upper part of the frame and a two-stage washing cycle.
Disinfection temperature is adjustable from one minute at 80˚C to a maximum of 100˚C. Disinfection time can be regulated from one to two minutes. These devices not only guarantee hygiene but also improve assistance and service quality as well as optimising working hours.
ADDITIONAL HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT AND MEDICAL APPARATUS
Sanix produces many other items of equipment and medical apparatus for use in hospitals. These include slings, weighing systems, spoon stretchers, stainless steel modular hospital furniture, and morgue fittings and equipment.
