QBC Autoread Plus 11.09.2008
The QBC Autoread Plus Centrifugal Hematology System yields quantitative value from venous or capillary blood for hematocrit, hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), platelet count, white blood cell count, granulocyte count and percentage, and a combined lymphocyte/monocyte count and percentage.
The analyzer is permanently calibrated during manufacturing. A simple calibration check is run daily to verify satisfactory performance prior to testing patient samples. Liquid quality control materials are available for additional performance monitoring.
The analyzer software features four test modes and one mode for various user defined options and service checks. Age-and sex-specific normal ranges can be selected for the printout prior to patient sample analysis. Printouts can also include error messages or codes that alert the user to improper tube preparation, unusual sample results or other irregular conditions.

QBC STAR 11.09.2008
The QBC STAR™ Centrifugal Hematology
System the simplest solution for in office
CBC testing. An innovative approach
employing dry hematology reagents instead
of the bulky liquid reagents utilized by other
methods. Nothing less than a revolution in
the way an in-office laboratory can perform
CBC testing more easily, more efficiently,
virtually hassle-free.
When it comes to operation, the QBC
STAR System brings new meaning to the
word simple. Unprecedented ease of use
with one-step, one-button operation that’s
how simple a fully-automated CBC analysis
can be when using the QBC STAR. With
minimal t raining, non technical
personnel can perform a CBC with ease
and accuracy.
The QBC STAR™ Centrifugal Hematology System can change
the way your in-office laboratory collects and analyzes
samples. The difference lies in the QBC STAR Tube. It is flexible
enough to use for both venous or capillary samples. Unlike
other hematology systems, when performing a finger
puncture you can use the QBC STAR Tube as the single vehicle
for collection and analysis. The dry reagents contained in the
QBC STAR Tube facilitate testing and analysis safely,
accurately and without the liquid reagents and the biohazard
waste of impedance counters. The clinician simply fills the
safety tube with the patient’s blood sample and places it in the
instrument. After analysis, the QBC STAR System displays nine
clinically significant parameters, both on the LCD screen and
on a hard copy printout for your records.

ParaLens 11.09.2008
Fluorescence microscopy is one of the most sensitive methods for Malaria and Tuberculosis diagnosis, as well as hundreds of other infectious diseases.
Until now, fluorescence microscopy technology has been too expensive for many clinics to own. The ParaLens converts a standard microscope to a fluorescence scope inexpensively and as easily as changing an objective!
The QBC Diagnostics ParaLens microscope attachment combines the ease of use associated with a standard transmittance microscope and the diagnostic capabilities of an epifluorescence microscope.
The ParaLens microscope adapter allows for portable epifluorescence capabilities with diagnostic reliability, sensitivity, predictability, and stability in one economic package.
Used with your conventional microscope, the ParaLens is a convenient microscope attachment enabling you to significantly expand your laboratory’s diagnostic, educational, or research capabilities.
The ParaLens adapter transforms your laboratory’s conventional microscope into a fluorescence microscope — expanding diagnostic capabilities at a fraction of the cost of a dedicated fluorescent microscope. The ParaLens fulfills your laboratory’s need for increased diagnostic capability and cost effective testing.
Clinical Laboratories:
Obtain test results in a timelier manner while increasing revenues.
Microbiologists:
Increase fluorescence capabilities in the microbiology department and supplement over-utilized fluorescence microscopes.
Mobile Laboratories:
Diagnostic reliability, sensitivity, predictability and stability combined in one economic package to provide you with portable epifluorescence capabilities.
Academic Laboratories:
Make an affordable fluorescence microscope available to each student.
Industry:
Develop multiple microscopy sites for cost-effective specialized fluorescence applications.
