STERIKING® CLEAN PEEL, MULTI-X FILMS
Steriking® Clean Peel range of see-through packaging, thanks to a unique Multi-X film, provides for a reliable processing and safe presentation of a packed item. In the modern multilayer film technology, featured in the Steriking® Multi-X films, it is possible to produce steam sterilizable plastic films that resist high temperatures but have high tensile strength. These films facilitate strong sealing properties against medical papers, preventing possible packaging bursting failure. The low incidence of bursting and tearing minimizes resterilization load and costs.

The two major sources of packaging failure are bursting during sterilization and/or film tear or paper shear when opening a package. Bursting of a pack can be caused e.g. by inadequate seal strength. The cause for tearing and shearing can be a low internal tensile strength of the film or paper. When exposed to heat upon sealing and sterilization processes, most plastic materials crystallize. This crystallization makes the material more brittle, thus reducing the tensile strength of the film.

STERILIZATION PACKS
A well-designed and correctly used sterilization pack provides for effective sterilization and safe handling and storage of all items until the moment they are used. A pack must remain sealed against bacteria and facilitate aseptic presentation of the packaged product.

The Steriking® sterilization packagings are developed and designed to ensure optimal reliability of use in hospitals and other health care institutions. The sterile state of medical device, which is achieved through sterilization, is maintained with the help of a appropriate packaging.

The design, materials and manufacture of the packaging materials have to be compatible with the medical device to be packed, the handling processes of the medical device, the sterilization method to be used, the labelling systems and distribution and storage conditions as well.

SEE-THROUGH PACKAGING
The Steriking® Clean Peel range of see-through packaging is a safe and convenient choice of a packaging material for hospital use. These are made of a medical grade paper that is heat sealed to a plastics film and are available as ready made pouches or tubing fit for the large variety of items in hospitals. The standard range is suitable for sterilization in steam and gas processes. The identification of packed instruments is easy because of the transparent plastic film. Thanks to the coloured film, it is possible to visually control the seal integrity.

The see-through packaging is a time saving concept in use. It is fast and easy to pack an item into a pouch and to close it by a heat sealer. The final pack creates an effective barrier against bacterial penetration and allows aseptic presentation of the packed item.

A UNIQUE CONTROL SHEET FOR SEAL QUALITY TEST
Where medical devices are packed for sterilization the user is responsible for assuring the performance of the final closing seal of a package. Steriking® Seal Control is designed for operational qualification of the sealing process.

The critical parameters of a sealing process are temperature, time and pressure. Under the new standard ISO 11607-2: 2006 the following qualities of the seal should be controlled: intact seal for a specified width, channels or open seals, punctures or tears and material delaminating or splitting.

The Seal Control sheet accurately simulates see-through peel packages and provides users a practical tool for validation and documentation processes. It is exclusive designed and patented by Wipak.

LOW VOLUME COMPACT LABORATORY AUTOCLAVES

RECTANGULAR SECTION AUTOCLAVES
Perfect for high volume throughput as well as bulky items, these autoclaves combine a huge internal capacity with a small floor area. They are available in 235L, 350L, 450L and 700L capacities with a compact design. Intermediate and larger sizes are also available on request. They feature a simple, hand wheel door closure and can be fitted with a steam / water jacket.

RECTANGULAR SECTION AUTOCLAVES WITH POWER DOORS
Available in 235L, 350L, 450L and 700L capacities (intermediate and larger sizes available on request) these models can be supplied as either stand alone cabinet autoclaves or built into a fascia panel in a plant room installation. A steam / water jacket can also be fitted to these models.

DOUBLE DOOR / PASS-THROUGH / AUTOCLAVES
These autoclaves are cylindrical and rectangular models that can be installed between walls, enabling items to be sterilised as they pass between rooms. Our double door / pass-through autoclaves can be fully sealed into the wall. Interlocks prevent both doors opening simultaneously or opening into the sterile area before sterilisation is complete.

CALIBRATION, TESTING AND SERVICING
Priorclave is a fully accredited UKAS calibration laboratory. We are equipped to conduct HTM2010 testing and performance qualification as required. We provide routine calibration services on both a one-off basis and as part of a regular maintenance contract. Maintenance contracts for all models are available with parts-inclusive and extended term options.

Priorclave’s products and processes have been independently approved and monitored by authorised bodies and are marked to the European PED standard – 97/23/EC (approved for the entire pressure system, not just the pressure vessel structure).

Our RadiMap™ radiation exposure tracking garments provide indicators which show radiation exposure locations and approximate doses during Interventional Radiology (IVR) treatment. RadiMap garments are sure to become a new, useful management tool in radiology, significantly enhancing levels of safety and reliability in the healthcare sector.

As well as manufacturing radiation exposure tracking garments for use in interventional radiology, Nichiyu Giken also produces temperature indicators, ocean exploration equipment, thermite welding powders and moulds, power transmission failure indicators, reinforcement materials for construction work, rocket pyrotechnics and gas generators.

RADIMAP RADIATION EXPOSURE TRACKING GARMENTS
In conducing IVR procedures, areas irradiated with X-rays vary with operation conditions such as the patient’s physical characteristics and the location of IVR operation. While the total amount of irradiated X-rays can be measured using special-purpose instruments, the amount of exposure on different parts of the patient’s body is difficult to assess.

RadiMap products address these problems. Chemical indicators, which are directly attached to our specially developed RadiMap cap and vest, show the location where maximum exposure to X-rays has occurred during an IVR procedure.

By referring to reference colour charts provided by the manufacturer and comparing colour changes, the radiation dosage allowed for a patient in an IVR operation can be calculated.

Any change in the colour of the indicators shows the patient’s exposure to radiation during an IVR procedure

Our standard range of rectangular section autoclaves, are provided with the versatile Logiclave™ control system, which allows a multitude of processes and applications to be programmed. Single and double entry autoclaves with either vertical or horizontal sliding powered doors, are available in sizes from 300L to 6,000L capacity. Bespoke sizes are available on request.

LOGICLAVE POROUS LOAD STERILIZERS
The Logiclave porous load sterilizer is intended to sterilize porous and non-porous items by a method using saturated and pressurised steam. It is suitable for sterilisation of air entrained porous items such as linen, dressings, wrapped instruments and utensils, hollow instruments and instruments with lumens.

DESIGN

The in-house design of the autoclave is based on the key requirements of the standards, PD5500: 2003, BS EN285 1997, BS 2646 1993, BS 3970 Pt1, BS EN 61010, HTM 2010, C14 NHS model engineering specifications, HSE Guidance Note PM73

In addition, the equipment complies fully with the appropriate requirements of the Pressure Equipment Regulations 1999 (SI 1999 No. 2001) and is CE marked accordingly.

LOGICLAVE CONTROL SYSTEM
The Logiclave control system is based on the following hardware components:

The Logiclave control system software has been specifically developed, for the precision control of the autoclave process. Program configuration, initiation and monitoring of the process are all possible through the ergonomically designed operator interface. The system can be simply retrofitted to any existing autoclave, which is often a cost effective and preferred alternative to replacing a complete autoclave.

DATA RECORDING
The Logiclave porous load sterilizer is supplied with a 40 column thermal printer as standard. Detailed records of each process cycle run, including critical times, temperatures, and pressures, are printed.

Program parameters may also be printed for validation records. The Logiclave system automatically archives to internal memory all logged cycle data for future retrieval, printing and analysis. Typically, up to the last twenty cycles are stored in the database.

Further options include, independent data recorders with either paper or graphical interfaces, provide assurance that sterilizing parameters have been satisfied.

LOGICLAVE SUPERVISOR
A PC based data acquisition system, operates over a industry standard Ethernet connection. The Logiclave Supervisor package can be connected to any number of Logiclave controllers, giving managers the ability to remotely monitor the status of each Logiclave, in real time.

All logged data generated by the Logiclave controller is automatically downloaded to a database on the PC. When reviewing the data, the integrity of the data is verified before being displayed.

AFTER SALES SERVICE AND SUPPORT

ESTS employ a dedicated team of service technicians, all of whom are fully conversant with the majority of manufacturer’s autoclaves, sterilizers, and washer disinfectors in use today. Routine autoclave maintenance, calibration, and periodic testing, is carried out in accordance with industry recognized standards, such as HTM2010, HTM2030 and HTM2031.

All test equipment is calibrated to UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) standards, and documentation is provided in an easy to interpret format, for the client to retain with their equipment.
