CARINA™: THE COMPACT SUB-ACUTE VENTILATOR

Carina is a new, compact sub-acute ventilator designed to accommodate both invasive and non-invasive ventilation. And, it is ideally suited for use in intermediate care units, sub-acute care facilities and recovery rooms.

Carina’s Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) technology holds the key. By offering NIV across our complete line of ventilators and integrating SyncPlus® advanced leakage compensation technology, we can support your efforts to both avoid intubation whenever possible, and facilitate rapid weaning and extubation.

SYNCPLUS® – SIMPLIFYING HIGHLY RESPONSIVE VENTILATION

SyncPlus is a convenient, automated technology designed to precisely synchronize ventilation with patient breathing patterns. Through leakage compensation, cycle learning technology and multi-sense trigger detection, SyncPlus helps to enhance therapy responsiveness, while the need for caregiver intervention is minimized.

NOVASTAR™ – FIRST FULL FACE NV MASK

NovaStar is the first full face NV mask with a silicone gel filled mask cushion in the institutional use. The flexible, transparent mask shell and the finest gel cushion fully adapt to the wearer’s face. The pliable ring embedded inside the flexible clear shell allows the mask to be bent and adjusted to fit the patient’s face (customized fit), while minimizing leakages. NovaStar NV mask has magnetic clips for easy capture and secure fastening of the mask headgear. The magnetic clips are self-aligning.

100 YEARS OF INNOVATION IN VENTILATION TECHNOLOGY

Dräger celebrates special anniversaries this year. The anniversaries which emphasize that internationality and innovativeness have a long tradition at Dräger. 100 years ago in October 1907, company founder, Johann Heinrich Dräger, was awarded a patent for the Pulmotor, the first mobile short-term respirator.

This marked the birth of ventilation technology development at Dräger. Simple, reliable, and extremely effective, the apparatus – transported in a wooden cabinet – quickly became a standard piece of equipment used by rescue services throughout Germany.
